Endurance Test for the posts of Junior Station Attendant and Junior Lineman from September 3 to 6

Bengaluru September (Karnataka Information): The Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited will conduct Endurance Test for the posts of  Junior Station Attendant and Junior Lineman, which are presently vacant in different Electricity Supply Companies in the State,  from September 3 to 6 in selected 53 play grounds in various districts, according to its Managing Director Mr Javed Akhthar.

Out of the 14,948 posts of Junior Station Attendant and Junior Lineman, which are vacant, recruitment process has begun for 8,080 posts in the first stage. As many as 4,41,923 eligible applications had been  received for these posts. Out of which 40,400 candidates have been selected for the Endurance Test on the ratio of 1:5, one post-five candidates, basis.

Earlier, the qualification for these posts was a pass in the Seventh Standard Examination. Presently, the prescribed qualification is a pass in the 10th Standard Examination. This time, the criteria of marks in the Interview and the Endurance Test has also been removed. The entire proceedings of the Endurance Test, is Video Recorded to maintain honesty and transparency in recruitment. After verifying the original documents of the candidates, candidate will be allowed take the Endurance Test. One hundred metres run in 14 seconds, 50 times skipping in one minute, three opportunities for shot-put ( weighing 12 pounds ) throw for a distance eight metres, compulsory climbing of an electric pole of eight metres height and 800 metres run in three minutes are a part of the Endurance Test.

Recruitment List of candidates, who are successful in the Endurance Test, will be prepared based on their marks in the S S L C Examination and Government’s reservation rules, which are in vogue, Mr Javed Akhthar has said in a statement.
